- Island platform: A lone platform that can be reached by the same set of stairs or an elevator situated between two tracks that offer service in both directions.
- Side platform: A platform aligned next to a track. Some stops feature dual platforms, each accessible by its own staircase or elevator, situated on either side of the tracks.
- Terminal station: Signifies either the commencement or the conclusion of the A train’s route.
